I have been working on a WORKING Laser Unicorns build for a few months and finally finished it. Ill try to upload whatever progress shots I got but for now here are just some recent photos. Like I said, its a WORKING model. I found a 5v LCD monitor to hook up to a Surface tablet and battery pack to control whatever the face does. So I had the robots static face, a few GIF screens for the 8 bit "INSERT COINS" or "F@$# YOU" screens. It also ran a few emulators. I got usb controls for the joystick and buttons so Its able to play any old school video game under the sun. I stuck with 50 or so with this build. Just need to program some more for Genesis,Turbografx 16 , SNES etc..

It also has a bluetooth speaker to hear all the games being played. 360 camera so I can see where the heck im going, 4 fans total (1 on me, 1 to vent out the top, 1 on my laptop and a 4th on the 360 camera) 2 battery packs (1 to run the screen, 1 to run everything else) there are 2 AAA powered lights for the .25 cent slots and the top light up bar. I didnt wire those into thew battery packs simply due to loss of ports. to be honest the AAAs last 8-10 hours on those so not a big deal at all.

I had to redesign the arms last minute (and they've since been redesigned again) I initially wanted full control of the arms, with my arms inside. I would pull one arm in to control the screen or whatever else needed attention, however, this design led to weight problems, as well as management, and HUGE holes on the sides. It just wasnt working out with so much to do inside with my arms, so I went with static middle fingers and pullstring arms. they worked perfectly fine but only had one degree of motion. Still perfecting them. Im working with some double hinges to maybe have a 360 range of motion.

total weight is around 20 lbs. Not too bad considering the screen alone is 6. Its 100% doable. I had it on for a few hours a night. Only issue I was having was low light situations (for this i built a flashlight into the underside of the deck so i could at least see directly in front of me) and STAIRS. yeah the feet are so wide, and i have limited range of motion in the knees, i cant walk up or down stairs. I wouldnt say "cant" i did it a few times but it took a lot of effort and sometimes help

Ill post more on the progress soon
