Great start to the board mike.

Not that you need it but , alittle tip I use at work, to stop break out and chipping over the lines, just score around all your pencils lines with a Stanley blade to the cut depth.

I know it's a heart breaker when you are coming to the end of a peice and a piece chips away.:facepalm

could I ask what tools those are and how they are used?

They're literally some cheap wood carving chisels that got given to me, you can pick the same ones up on eBay for pennies, they're not ideal really but I'm on a limited budget and have got to save my budget for other parts of the board, it's literally chipping away at the wood, probably not the best technique but this is my first time carving lol

Well nothing much to report tonight, Iv continued to shape the leaves but that's about it,will post more pics tomorrow when there's more to update

I meant, are they used with a hammer or can you just chip away with your hand?

I just chip away by hand, in my opinion it's too detailed to use a hammer, I surpose it could be done though

Well tonight's update isn't an amazing 1, just started to carve out the edges and boarder of the board
