IRON PATRIOT w.i.p. converterd to iron man and new attempt at the patriot 11/08

Re: IRON PATRIOT w.i.p. *UPDATE 9/02*

if i may - i work almost exclusivly with cardboard, and it is dificult to work with, best thing to do is run an exacto knife/box cutter along the lines about 3 or 4 times to get a nice even cut.

also with the mounts for the slide mechanisms, you can slide them into the walls of the helm and hot glue them in place. or even cut out a bit into the wall of the part to get the slides in there without stabbing you in the head - hope this helps.

Re: IRON PATRIOT w.i.p. *UPDATE 9/02*

I think your 8/13 ansd 8/16 updates showed a lot of promise, you have obviously learned some thigns along the way, with some hard work, you'll be able to put something cool together.

The upate today, the pics aren't fantastic, so it's hard to tell what you've got going on with the body, but keep at it. I imagine you are learning something new every time you work on this, and at the end, even if you aren't satisfied with the outcome, you are going to have made enough progress and learned enough that your next project will be even better. That's how we learn to do incredible things.

how do you reinforce the cardboard? same as you would pep style? that first cardoard torso i got angry and smashed but i noticed i rondoed and fiberglass the inside but the rondo flexed and cracked and the fiberglass was kinda just standing alone.

and far the body for now im turning the page im starting to cut up some bins i have since seeing that iron lantern suit and breaking it down how he put it together its giving me the drive to try that out. and yes by all means trial and error is how all great things come to be
