managed to get a little more done,seen a bit of decent weather:thumbsup

legs now painted,weathered.
CLOGS:lolnow in paint n weathered.

gold base applied to thigh.

clogs in paint thumbsup i like em:thumbsup

completed legs.

also managed to get one of my cast fibreglass helmets in paint.)

the weathering is black stove polish
Zip Black Grate and Barbecue Polish Cast Iron Cleaner | eBay
brushed into grooves with a fine brush,you can always thin it down a little with panel wipe or lighter fluid.
left over night then polished off leaving a metallic black finish.the heavier/lumpier you apply it makes it look like built up dirt.
the worn areas are silver acrylic or silver rub n buff.
Rub n Buff Original Metallic Gilding Wax Gold Silver | eBay
the great thing about grate polish or rub n buff are if you over do it and arent happy with it ,you can just wipe it off with a drop of panel wipe.

hi folks
time for another update.

got a few more bits done,but managed to get side tracked a little.:lol

redone the neckseal wasn't happy with the foamy affair.

neckseal master.

mold.

mold,with a urethane rubber cast setting in it.

fibreglass cast.

painted and weathered,to display helmet.

redone the eyes,in a similar style to mightyjohn's,easier for casting and fitting.
closed the backs and put lenses to the front.

lenses fitted.

the plan was to fit the ebay arc reactor intially,but it dont look quite right.

but after seeing matt n the real starks fantastic unibeam.(could do with the real stark living local to me:lol)

the thought was arc or unibeam ?

so using matts as a ref a unibeam was made,and the base of a old ashtray was molded to make a arc,what looks similar to the arc in the mk4 figure.
n i still haven't decided which to uselol

parts for unibeam,foamboard rings.

arc.

then this is where i start getting side tracked:lol

i decided to have a play:lol and make it a little more like the hottoys model:behave

fibreglass cast was taken of the back nthe fun commenced.

flaps removed,and engine?housings built in.

details molded n cast.

radiators etc.im starting to look a every day items to see if owt you can take a mold of.:wacko

Nice work on those extras mate. That Unibeam turned out a treat !
Also that Necks a nice bit of work too buddy.

Looking forward to coming over in a two or three weeks when we can choose some paint for my MK III.
Your suit is taking on a whole new extra level with the back detail.
It's amazing how much these projects take over your spare time.
Time well spent though eh mate.
