Iron Man Helmet partial template for sintra lovers

I think so :(
I haven't done much since the last update :(
So things are still the same...

by the way, the upper part of the template is somehow useless.
You can cut it off (i'm talking about the golden wings of the face plate, the ones that curve away right above the eyes...

anything new? just joined and trying this for my first project.... any tips appreciated!

Dude :D, you need to make the back yourself, it's not that hard. Actually, you can see here the way I did the two layers that connect the template part with the first back panel:

It works like this:

Cut the template, shape it with the heat gun, slow and gently, you don't want the forex to bend too much otherwise you'll lose its smothness.

Once you have bent it, create on cardboard the first back panel. Try it, if it works, place it on sintra and cut it. Once you've done that, you need to do two more layers in order to obtain this:

If you look closely, you'll see what I'm talking about.
The Chin on the template is not completely accurate. You'll need to make a new one eventually.

If you have any doubts let me know! I'll try to help.

Great work you did on those and what patience you had :)
I just love this photo of yours.. It really made me laugh! :lol:thumbsup

Cutting sintra is one of the most boring, nuts crunching thing....especially when you have to cut circles...like the EARS....gosh....but hey...i ain't a sculptor...sooooooo :D As I said...this is fun...NOT! :love

The whole file
http://www.jkfc.eu/mm/ironman/helmet_template.jpg

Just a reminder:
I suggest to open it with photoshop and make sure about this:

On screen:
RES: 96 dpi
PIXEL WIDTH: 2219
PIXEL HEIGHT: 1108

Print SIZE:
WIDTH: 58,71 cm
HEIGHT: 29,32 cm

Also, I've already cut the file in 4 parts in order to be printed on a regular A4 printer:

These don't need explanations.
Print them, cut them and then put them together with some tape ;)
Have fun :D
