Thank you. My aim was to make it functional as possible. I attached aluminum plates only on one side to keep its weight low and structure simple.

How did you attach the aluminum plating? Did you spot weld it or what have you? Sorry if this is a 'newb' question I've only recently taken interest in prop building and I would like to create a smaller model of TARS as a desk toy, but I want it to be metal and aluminum sound like a great place to start. Thanks!

I used super glue and 5-minute epoxy.
