I've recently gotten into prop making and have completed a replica of Captain America's shield. My next projects are a replica of Thor's hammer Mjolnir and to begin working on a replica of Ironman's suit. My problem is determining the right materials to use to recreate the metallic yet detailed appearance of these objects. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or if anyone knows any websites which would be helpful for a beginner such as myself. Thanks.

for the Iron Man , I would go with foam base suit , PVA all pieces then Resin coat you required thickness/ hardness , prime that, auto body paint , and polyurethane clear coat varnish to finish , will give you an execellent result.
