HCG Aliens Dropship

Well preorder paid for since August 2022 and still waiting. Is this ever going to be released ?

Zero updates from HCG on this or any of the predator preorders.

I had the Aoshima die-cast (with lots of articulation) and the APC that fit inside. I can't see this beating that.
I can, the toy model seamlines right in the middle of model and visable the retention screws holding the pods and the halve lines must like every other Diecast toy ruin it for me.

my god its over 30 years ago now but I once started making a 18th scale drop ship. unfortunately being young and not having permanent digs
I eventually had to give it away in a move.

it did get a lot further on than this but I don't think I ever got any photos

The Dropship and APC pair are together one of my all-time favourite movie vehicles, but I feel quite comfortable with my decision not to get this. I'd have probably bought it if it was somewhere around £500, and I did wonder if it would look more appealing once people starting showing videos of it, but the asking price imo is far too high for what you're getting.

You're talking about a vehicle that is famous for its articulation but this super expensive replica doesn't articulate. That plus the quite weak surface detail (can't believe they didn't sculpt a grill or something inside the engine intakes, the windows look pretty bad, and there's almost no panel lining past the cockpit) and unacceptable lack of lighting for the price are deal-breakers, which is a huge shame.

I'm with you on that one; for my taste, it's too expensive for the amount of details missing. The pilots, the lighting and the articulation should be a must on that model...Maybe Haslab should tackle it;)

It finally arrived but I only had time to do a quick inspection before the Doom music kicked in and I had to return to work. First impressions are it's Heavy at 24 pounds. No art box just a foam sarcophagus with everything in its place. Rocket pods has a single pin for placement and the front probe was packed separately in a small jewel box. I will post up when I get it assembled and here are a few teaser photos to wet your appetite. The top flap of the box has the indication of "Exclusive Edition" which gave you the ramp and the APC if I remember correctly. GC
