Harold Ramis passes away at age 69

Ramis, a longtime North Shore resident, was surrounded by family when he died at 12:53 a.m. from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels, his wife Erica Mann Ramis said. He was 69.

Besides acting, I think he was a writer on Animal House and a few others and directed Analyze This. Liked him. Sorry to hear he's gone.

With the original cast, no, but I doubt this will stop a 3 or a remake/reboot with younger, hipper actors or whathaveyou. And the suits will call it a "tribute" to Ramis.

A real pity, though. He was an amazing comedy writer.
