"Eyes Without a Face" Mask

Does anyone know anything about what the original mask was made of in the 1960 French film "Eyes Without A Face"? Any info on how it was created is appreciated. Thanks

Very strange movie for sure; the mask was made using a mold of the main actress and transformed to have that "static statue look".
Painted white and with red lips...
