Looks like every other horror movie out these days. I have a bad feeling this is going to be another Paranormal activity or whatever the newest of the recycled horror things are. Looks a bit too big budget for an Evil Dead, they should have stuck to having Campbell doing Ash in the videogames.

A little FYI for those who don't know: Bruce was the producer on ED2 and AoD as well as playing the role of Ash. So, this would be his third ED film he's served as producer.

The first time the crowd was awesome and just ate it up.

I don't like the eyes. The whited out ones from the original movie were better. Those and white ones with nothing but a tiny black pupil on them give me the creeps. Those make me think "Twilight" vampire eyes or something.

Here is a bootleg of the trailer they showed at NYCC over the weekend. Looks way more intense and gruesome than I was expecting.

Well, the original Evil Dead was full on horror, so seeing as it is a remake of that one as opposed to the more comedy based sequels, it makes sense for it to be played straight and lack the funny element.
