Dragoncon 2015

Badge acquired! Offsite for final prep and to pick up the fiancee, then back to the con in the next 1-2hrs. Hellya, stoked++!

Srsly, everybody be careful on the roads this afternoon. It's stupid what we're going to have to deal with, traffic-wise. Dragon*Con (duh), thunderstorms, GT fball game, Falcons fball game, and oh btw, Joe Biden will be rolling thru town and closing down the Connector during rush hour. Vaya con Dios!

I'll be dressed up in my casual costume tonight (Tadashi Hamada from Big Hero 6) but if y'all see me as the Twelfth Doctor (Fri) or Star Lord (Sat/Sun), say hey! See y'all tonight!

I did the same thing, ran over around 1pm to pre-reg was in and out with my badge and picked up my friends badge. Was back to the house before it started raining. Sat at the work table and finished my rocket pack for Bobateer.

Packing up my costumes, grabbing some 12 packs. And will be headed back to the marriott very soon.

So the group I work with at the con is meeting at 7 PM to eat & discuss strategery/policies for the con. I may or may not be able to make the meetup, depending on how things shake out. =/
 
Guys. I have just now landed in ATL. Five hour delay. Landing for fuel. Good times. Need to get baggage and get to town. Still on plane. It's 7:09. I won't make it. I'm so sorry! Really wanted to meet folks and pick up spiffy badge!

Someone let me know if things still going in a bit? We'll see!

I missed the meetup too. Was stuck at the airport due to a delay, refuel and medical.

Joshua, if you have any plans around the Marriott, I may be able to meet you and collect the nametag. Would be nice to meet at least 1 person and maybe wearing the name tag I can meet a few more. I am here till Monday. Can also find me on the DC app as Devlin ( D-Pool)
 
My girlfriend and I are considering come in for Sunday; we met there last year and she moved in a few months after. We live in DC, but she has a wedding in NC the day before, so it comes down to finding a place to sleep Sunday night before driving back.
 
Hey spoon. It was cool to finally me face to face last night. Hate I missed the meetup (we talked for a while in the atrium under your rpf banner). Hope to catch you again in you Ronan deadpool Saturday.

Sorry I didn't make it. We got our badges late and I spent over 30 min trying to navigate that hotel and still couldn't seem to find that level. LOL was almost 10 by then so wasn't sure how long you'd be there. Not sure if I saw any of you today but I was Captain America.

Had a blast wearing Indiana Jones at the meet up. Lots of fun talking with Helpfulnerd, Rockit and his +1 most notably. If the convention gods are kind, hoping to make it next year for the third consecutive time (normally take a break for a year or two between Dragon Con trips).
 
Hope everyone had a blast! I ended up having my girls with me Thursday, so didn't get to stay to really meet everyone, but it was awesome to see you all!! :) Helpfulnerd, too bad about the lanyards.. Can you refund me via paypal? Thanks!!!

A big thank you to everyone that came to the 2015 Meetup.

We tried to stay around as long as we could for those that were running late. Also we apologize to everyone that did not make it in time for the photo shoot, a lot of people were getting antsy and we tried to wait at least 30 minutes into the meetup.

We apologize to everyone that missed the meet up or couldn't make it due to delays.

If you had a badge printed please contact helpfulnerd to discuss alternate way a getting your badge.

Dude it was fantastic meeting you. Lets stay in touch! Try to get back out here. I'm thinking of adding a DC costume to my lineup, so if your Oliver Queen wants to hang w/The Flash, we could totally make that happen.

One of these years we're going to hit the west coast for ECCC too.

We had a blast too! Can't wait to see the meetup photos. helpfulnerd and MatrixSpoon thanks for coordinating
