I am a huge fan of classic horror and have always held a great deal of respect for Hammer. So, when I got the chance to purchase this casting of Dracula's medallion from collector and FX artist Alan Elliott, I couldn't say no. Alan had acquired it years earlier and did the engraving of 'Dracula' because that was not part of the original mold.
Part of the agreement was that I would make him a copy of it so off to the silicone and acrylic mold box I went.
After I got the mold made, I had to work on cleaning up the castings. Lots of filler primer, lots of bondo putty and LOTS of sanding.
Initially, I went with spray paint before I redid it in antique gold Rub N Buff. Added a chain and we have the finished piece below.
Does anyone know of anything else from the Hammer films that's out there?
