Crossing streams - on purpose, parts question for UK rpf members

Hello my friends. I am crossing streams today and sharing a question from my other favorite forum Stan Winston School of character arts. This is a parts availability question specific to the UK rpf'ers (yes, not appropriate use of the apostrophe). This question comes from a UK resident wishing to start into the mechanical special effects realm....

I am looking at the Mechanical courses and struggling to source the parts in the UK. Over here there is no one like McMaster Carr, does any UK or EU based makers know anywhere to source these products, ideally all or mostly from one place?
