The good news: I managed to get Peter Capaldi to sign my upgraded GuiTardis, and got a photo op with him, and saw the Peter and Jenna Q&A. That part was indeed Awesome.
The bad news: All I did all day - and this was with a VIP ticket - was wait in lines to get the autograph and photo op, and see the Q&A. I didn't get to do anything else, look at anything, or buy anything - I didn't even get a chance to stop and eat. I just went from long line to long line. The Q&A was delayed from 2:30 to 4:00, after we were already seated for it, and didn't actually begin until almost 4:20. So we sat in our seats waiting for nearly two hours. And it was supposed to be 45 minutes but they cut it off after 30.
AwesomeCon has apologized on their Facebook page for the terrible time we all had, but words are cheap - hopefully they'll clean up their act and do a better job in the future. When even a VIP ticket means incredibly long lines, it means you oversold VIP tickets.
