Hey guys, thought it'd be a good idea to post this here, being a replica prop and all
I'm an 18 year old learning CNC machining/ tool and die making at school and work, and wanted to share with you guys my Evoker replica that took me around 5 or so months to get to this near-complete state (all that's left to do is final polishing and a little paint strip in the brass insert). It has a functional slide and trigger (they're springy). I did have a slide over-travel stop and make-shift slide lock, but due to a last minute design flaw with the assembly, I had to rework some things, removing those features.
My references were all over the place so I picked the ones I liked the most and stuck with them. Mine resembles the most from the persona 3 manga and some of the in-game cut scenes.
If I ever made another, the safety will be functional and act as a slide lock for forward and back, and over-travel stop will be re-added, among a few other cool features.
Body is made from 6061 aluminum, trigger is heat treated A2 tool steel, grip inserts are brass, and the grips themselves are made from nylon. Comes apart into 9 main parts.
Machines used: Wire EDM, HAAS CNC mill, prototrak conversational mill, and an old bridgeport when the prototrak wasn't available.
Pics are quite large

Hope you enjoy, I learned a LOT from making this (haven't made anything like this before). Sorry for not posting a wip thread with progress, I didn't find out about this forum until I was much later in development. My dad is making a really nice all real white leather holster that is almost done, I can post pics of that too here when its ready.
I do have a more in-depth progress thread here with more pictures, but I didn't want to spam too many in the OP: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1378200
Here's a pic of me in my cosplay for this weekend coming up:
