Ah yes. Honestly, I don't know how the Germans could have put up with those long leather trench coats as my rain gear is as long and it's a pain in the arse to work in! I'm always getting it caught on or in something.

That being said, I wonder where you can find good authentic WWII Axis/ Allies clothing. Would be good for Indy stuff as well I suppose.

Probably one of my favorite Quinten movie. Also probably more favorite Pitt movie. I tried to do a basic Aldo costume for Halloween, but the wife nixed it in favor of Indy.

I have gotten some good WWII clothing from What Price Glory and At The Front.

If anybody is near Fort Indian Gap, PA in January, they do a Battle of The Bulge reenactment there that I show up as Indy for. Great time to get some pics with Germans/Nazis.

    Cheers,

    Sebastian

If you don't like the movie, why bother looking in a thread about props from it?

I would like to get my hands on the SS dagger that Stiglitz was sharpening before the rendezvous with Bridget Von Hammersmarck.

JB HiFi in Australia have an exclusive tin DVD/Blu Ray, with postcard sized poster replicas for 'Nation's Pride'. I think I've seen it for ale from some UK retailers, too.

Hey Fuzz I think the rifle that had Inglourius Basterds carved into its stock was just a standard Kar98

Try Sportmans guide .com they have a lot of WW2 surplus ...good prices too!
Now on to the Glove Pistol, there is a small write up on it in the book "Ultimate Spy new Expanded Version" here is the short write up:
"Devised in World War II by the US Office of Naval Intelligence, this .38-caliber device allowed the wearer to be armed and still keep both hands free. It was fired at point-blank range by pressing the plunger into an opponets body while striking a blow."
I'll try to post the pic that is with it if I can ever get my scanner up and running.

So I made an attempt at making Aldo's knife. I am fairly happy with the results, since it was about a week between conception to realization. I am working on a plaque for it to hang on at the moment - will post more pics when its done. And dang, I didnt realize the blade was so fingerprinty until I looked at the pics. I'll clean them off for the next round, LOL.

thanks guys - heres a pic of it on the display. I cant decide if it should say something on the bottom, or just leave as is. I plan on making at least one more of these, hoping to get a little bit of a cleaner result.

I thought i put some Pictures up from the Inglourious Basterds - Limited Collector's Box which is sold over here in Germany.
Those are not my Pictuers, if there is a Probleme, I will take them down, No Problem!

    Maybe some can use it.

Because this is the Box which was released in Germany, there is no Swastika on the Items.
It is forbidden to show that Symbol over here in Germany!

Hecubus, that knife is great!! I'd hang that on my wall with pride!! I lkinda like the "carved" look of the movie title but I wonder how it would look with the poster font stenciled on? I think it'd be even more bad ass.

Can you tell us more about it? Did you use a readily available blade and make the handle? I've found a few sites by googling that sell Crown stag handles(the star pattern is a natural occurance in the stag horn) and if I could find a good blade, it'd just leave the brass part to make by hand...

Thanks! I got the blade off some knife making site (I actually cant even find it again now ), and reshaped the lower front area to match better. I made the finger guard by hand, and the handle is cast in resin. I plan on making another because the handle went on a little crooked, and I filled in areas with apoxy putty. When I make the next one I will make sure it goes on straight.
