Star Wars episode 7 Storm Trooper helmet build

Hi all
This is my first major build using cardstock pepakura and resin, bondo, and fiberglass. I got this awesome pep file from Fierfek of the SW Storm trooper helmet. Before you ask no I can not share the file because Fierfek made it and is selling it. You will need to PM him on his facebook page or therpf to get the file. So far I have cut out and glued the cardstock together and laid down 1 layer of resin then a layer of resin/fiberglass both on the interior for strength. Next step for the exterior I was thinking of doing a 50/50 mix of bondo jelly and bondo resin. Does anyone else have experience doing that? I feel like if I did 100% bondo jelly it would be too thick and loose some details of the helmet. Or should do 100% resin for the exterior? I am new to the bondo biz so any tips would be great. Hi,
New to pep. How do I measure in inches for a full size Storm Trooper and Vader mask/helmet?
What type of card stock and wt.?

Thanks

Looks perfect!

Firefek, you are a madman! Holy crap you have such a long list of stuff!

Your going to get to a point where you can't take requests... Cause you did it all!!! LOL!

I've only worked with Sintra and abs. Vac form kit stuff...

I wish someone could make a pep, mold it in sections and vac pull a kit... I mean with firefeks permission!

I don't know if that's even possible, and I'm not suggesting recasting...

I just see myself screwing up a pep...

That being said, can someone PM the link to buy the file? I guess I could try my hand at pepakura.

Also I'd like to see this thing straight on, tilted down a bit, or next to a trailer screencap...

Hi, my first post. Did some pep before, my avatar is one of them. Love the new Storm Trooper and would love the pep file from you Masterobi how would that be posible?

Thank you all for your interest in my work. Let me make some fixes to the file because I found a few errors and I will be selling the prints of the parts to the people who wants my version.

I made everal fixes to my LightWave 3D model and now its ready to unfold again. I had the opportunity to make a comparison also with the helmet extracted from a disney app and make several adaptations to it but even the disney model has several dofferences with the lucasfilm exhibit prop from celebration.

The position of the lateral details are wrong in the disney model (Compared with the celebration helmet picture). The yellow wireframe it´s from my model:

The side view of the frontal jaw it´s straight (picture and my model in white wireframe), not curved (disney model):

The lower part of the jaw is too flat in the disney model:

This is mine:

The start of the lower black stripe is too triangular in the disney model and thats not right. You can see the correct curve in the white wireframe of m model:

The size and position of the black lateral patch it´s wrong in the disney model. Mine is accurate with the picture:

The overall shape where corrected in my 3d model using the disney helmet but in general it was fine. Here you can see it before the corrections where made (black wireframe it´s the disney app extracted I found on internet, white wireframe it´s my model). I also added the space for the "clips" at the sides and top of the helmet:

I found another error on the disney app helmet model. The position of the gills at bot sides of the jaw: They´re bad angled and bad located. You can see it here in red against the picture of the celebration´s ILM´s prop:

Masterobi is there any way I can get a copy of your model to 3D print one for myself? I'm willing to pay since the work you've done is incredible.
