:D:D:D

You are a wonderful person.

Jedifather:
You´re STILL interested in that P9S, aren´t you !? :p
I am having the conversion parts for the Lando blaster 3D modeled as we chat, so a kit might be possible in the future ;)

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...01/02/14 Aliens Smartgun!

I did see a H&K P9 for sale at a gunshow here a while back. I had a hard time buying it because you don't see him use it on screen. Maybe if I get all the other replicas I want I'll get it.

I also owe Markus several beers, but they would be extremely expensive beers for me. :lol

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...01/02/14 Aliens Smartgun!

expensive...why? ;)

I like a few beer, but being a german doesn't mean that I am a regular drinker...I am an easy one, normally :lol

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...01/02/14 Aliens Smartgun!

small update for you followers ;)

Bossk rifle is close to being finished, reworking the shoulderstock currently because the paint was flaking off in large areas. sanded it down, put on the first coat of mahagoni varnish. scopes are attached already.

any ideas what to use for the "plug" in the barrel???

also disassembled my PR AGAIN for a few upgrades and plan to work on my Bowcaster, after having it put aside for over a year

stay tuned for updates ;)

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

Here we go :)

Lets start with two non StarWars related items...

First a Nostromo blaster pistol, based on Shawns wonderful resin Rexims, decals by clutch.
Will be upgraded with a machined muzzle tip very soon, otherwise it´s done:

Next is a nice addition to my BFG-rack, can you spot it!? ;)

Now let´s switch to the SW stuff!
As some of you know I have/ had a bowcaster in the works for quite a time now. Couldn´t finish it because I was hoping for a run of machined add-on parts...
It started its life as one of the green plastic Horton Safari crossbow many of us use for conversion.
Cut the frame, filed, sanded, bondoed, sculpted with Aves, primed, sanded etc....

Here´s the BC as it looked for the last 1 1/2 years.
As you can see it is still missing the prod, the barrel and front sight setup, but you get an idea. IMHO the frame is as close to the shape of the screenused item, as you can get even if still different in a few areas due to the characteristics of the Horton Safari.

While thinking about when, how, IF to proceed with it I made a decision...I will start all over again!!!
WHY???

YEP...THE correct crossbow, thanks to kurtyboy!!!

Last WIP for now is my Bossk rifle, based on a real Schermuly I got a few weeks ago. Planning to make this into a kit, when I find the time ;)
Not much to say about this...did some cleanup, reworked the shoulder stock and attached the -correct- M38 scopes to it (The PoL blaster was fitted with incorrect scopes and the frontal scope was positioned wrongly).

Thanks for looking!

Awesome. I'd be up for a machined nostromo pistol tip. For some reason, and it might be the pics, that one looks 'stubby'.

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

No, the resin tip iS too stubby... That's why I will replace it.

Such amazing pieces! I'm so jealous :)

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

thanks gentlemen!

some day I simply HAVE TO take high res glamour shots of my stuff.
while I am more of a builder and collector than a poster, much of the attention a thread gets depends on wether it contains good pics or not.
well...mine are pretty unspectacular :lol

anyway, I will keep posting pics of new stuff ;)

seems the option of a kit of ACCURATE Bossk rifles is not of much interest for the community, maybe a limited run of accurate Bowcaster frames/prods will be more successfull...what do you guys think?

Markus

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

I am interested in any blaster project that uncommon (Bossk, bowcaster, Greedo, etc...). I of course the big factors is my cash flow at the time of the projects and if it is something you can ship to the US.

Re: My evergrowing blaster family...

Nice stuff! I'm drooling over that MG rack! All of the German MG's at local gun shows are wanting sky high prices.

If I hadn't just built a new PC I'd definitely want a Bossk kit. That's one I've wanted to do for awhile. So bad timing! :lol ;)

You know I want a Bossk rifle and I might have to settle for a kit instead of a real one.

Is the Horton frame different enough from the plastic version to warrant a run?
I'd at least want a correct prod for mine.

Valid point Chris, thanks for that.

The plastic Horton Safari CAN be modified to resemble the original BC skeleton frame...maybe up to 90% similarity.
But there are some distinct details and size differences, which are very hard or some even impossible to adress.

I have enough time to think about my options, given that I won´t be able to start my run before spring...

Even in Germany the prices for the MG´s exploded over the last few years.
Most of the BFG´s I own were purchased many years ago, when you didn´t have to sell a kidney to fund these.

A run of Schermulys won´t happen in the near future...maybe as early as april/ mai, so you have plenty of time to save $ ;)
