Doopydoos ESB DL-44 Stunt Blaster using parts from 3 different kits

Now I've finished my ESB Hoth, Bespin & Luke Blaster's I Thought I'd give the ESB stunt blaster a go

It's a Blaster that I've never thought much about but the more I've looked at it the more I fancied giving it a go,

I've built all of the Doopydoos blasters in the past & I figured that between the ANH, ESB & ROTJ I'd have all the parts I needed

big box of Resin blaster parts came today

Plan is to use:

the top/barrel from the ANH Kit

the lower receiver/grip from the ESB (with pistons removed)

The scope mount from the ROTJ

The piston halves & square from the ROTJ

The M19 scope from the ESB

some spare =O side details from the V8 kit

We'll see how it goes eh :lol

not sure that I want to fill in the holes in the flash hider, thinking I'll go for an idealized version (seeing as the original in the pics below is so wonderfully grotty)

With the 2 leftover Blaster's I'm thinking I'll try & make a Merr Sonn using the ROTJ Mauser (I know the flash hiders wrong but may be close enough) & maybe try the Weird ROTJ Bunker blaster (long barrel/reversed scope) with the spare ANH parts.

Not sure if it'll all turn out but I need a little project on the go :)

Ok so interesting thing I just noticed (or really boring depending if you ask my wife)

The M19 Scope from the ESB kit has the exact same serial number etc. as the M38 from the E11 kit (& doesn't say M19)

I'm guessing that it's a cut up/resculpted M38 then

size wise it's pretty good next to my original M19 though

I have another resin M19 coming from the US so I will decide later which to use

I intended this to be a build/progress log but I haven't been able to load pictures for 2 weeks,

lots of work on the Scope Mount cut it down & used the parts I cut out to extend the arms where the M19 will sit

lots of epoxy & plasto :)

got the scope painted & the blaster primed, undercoated & painted

weathered the blaster & painted the grip gloss black

Weathered the Flash Hider & got it all glued together,

Really pleased with how it turned out I went for a quite idealised version & deliberately didn't fill the holes in the flash hider

I really do love the doopydoos kits & speaking to them they would have happily sent me a mixed kit (instead of buying all three)

I will start new threads for my Weird ROTJ & Merr Sonn builds

I've grown to really like the ESB Stunt while I was making this,

I like the way you can see the evolution from the ESB to ROTJ Blaster in it & it's nice it has the ANH upper

has a bit of all 3 films thrown in :lol

Thank You :)

Yes doopydoos make various resin Star Wars blaster kits

They do a great E11 kit & the ANH, Greedo Killer, ESB & ROTJ DL44 kits

Based here in the UK & sell through eBay & their website

Reasonably cheap & fun to build, & a good option here in the UK with our strict laws,

I like em :lol

Got all 3 Blasters finished now, was getting a bit weary with them but I can't leave anything unfinished,

trouble is I want something else to do now :lol

took advantage of the natural light at lunchtime to get a picture of them all together,

hopefully I'm getting there with the DL44's but I'm sure someone can tell me which variants are still missing (I think there were a few more ROTJ versions) in fact there are probably loads more to do, I'm no expert (just enthusiastic)

I only ever meant to get one, I'm not sure what happened :lol

I know that most of them could be more accurate & I'd love all metal but in the UK & on my budget it's a struggle & I like the Resin kits
