just wonder if you get a screen used prop signed ...can you ruin the value ore will the value be higher if it is from the correct actor ?
it will then not be correct info compared to the certificate ...

Any one have a experience with this ? ore is it best to not tough a screen used prop ?

The prop can stand on its own and is valuable as is. The only thing I own that is signed is a replica. All future items would be replicas as well, since I will keep my original movie props/costumes as is.

Reminds me of this:

Thanks members ...this is just what i thought , and no i have never got anything signed , but i got the opportunity on a costume but i didn't do it

What a bout a pair of shoes or boots? If the actor signs on the bottom of the item? You can't see it unless you lift boot and look under it. My cousin has a signed boot from an charity auction / raffle he won.

I'm with the majority here. Never get an actor to sign a genuine prop. If it's a model replica then I think it's perfectly acceptable to have the model maker sign it. I have a Martin Bower replica which he signed and dated for me (on the bottom where it won't be see). I'd never have that done to an original model though.

I'd say if you can get the signature somewhere that doesn't show, any perhaps was never seen on screen (underneath or inside a prop) then maybe it's ok. I'd probably worry about it wearing of of a shoe or boot's sole if they were ever worn for costume, tho.

Thats just the same i thought ..like inside an chest armor ore similar

my boss has a genuine vintage flash gordon pinball machine, he had the top glass panel signed by him at a comic con last year. that kind of situation I reckon it's fine, but definitely not a screen used prop. I think maybe if it wasn't in a visible place it would be ok.. maybe.

Gotta agree. I've had a couple of displays and plaques signed but never the prop itself.

I defo think any original prop or piece costume should stay unsigned and totally original .i was looking at a pair of screenused rocky gloves from rocky 3 coming up in profiles .they have been signed and dated 06 .. ruined in my eyes ..
