XanderAlways' 2012 Halloween Costume Contest Entry

Here is my build thread for my halloween costume. I decided to go with a "homemade" costume this year. I have always liked Deadmau5 so I went ahead with my build.

Step 1: Paper mache base structure.


Step 2: Pop the balloon and more mache.


Step 3: Cut neck and mouth and reinforce the openings.


Check Fitment.




Step 4: Begin felt covering.


Final Seam.




Final covered head.


Step 5: Painting eyes.


Step 6: Inserting mouth screen.


Step 7: Felting the styrofoam ears.


Step 8: Attaching ears with screws.


Step 9: Fitting LED's for the eyes.


Step 10: Final assembly with light up eyes.


I will post some photos from halloween party later on with full costume, let me know what you all think. Thanks for looking.
