Error's 2012 Halloween Costume contest thing

Oh hi RPF
I decided I would be submitting my Witchblade Una the first wielder costume for the contest, as far as my experience with costume building...I would have to say this one has been my most tedious project Everything was hand made from posterboard, super sculpey, the most hot glue you ever seen, glass, acrylic paint packs of feathers arranged piece by piece into fanned clips fabrics, leathers, scale maille and tons of makeup! I am sure i am leaving a bunch out lol but it was a lot of different odd items ... along the way I documented my project through my youtube channel

ERROR. - YouTube

Problems I faced during this build were , many hot glue burns, mild insanity... aside from that after such a rough summer ... building this time consuming project was actually very good for me ... it took a lot of focus ... like a big giant puzzle ....

As usual this was my first time trying anything like this ...so it was a fun challenge learning to make organic textures using glue ... i also found that glue is great for do it yourself prosthetic pieces .... make your desired shape on something made of thick plastic .. peel it off ... coat the flat side with a few layers of liquid latex ....and once spirit gum is applied it sticks fairly well!

If anyone is curious about where i got any of my supplies or how i did what i did i am more than happy to explain! ...for all of you that have loyally followed my thread in creation of this suit THANK YOU ... all of your support and hilarious banter along the way made it something to look forward to :> .. now i hope i filled this thing out correctly ...... BELOW IS MY INSANE PROCESS OF MAKING THIS THING ... in a nutshell of course ...(the very last photo is one of my characters creators nothin cooler than getting stopped by artists that made your character so they can get a photo with you!) ...... lol and i gotta say for a costume that does not cover much it is a whole lot of work to make it look realistic and i really wanted to look like I crawled out of the jungle and bam I was in comic con! well .. yep ... im going to make late night tacos now! so uh .. thanks again! and good luck to everyone running :>

Amazing work! That outfit is like a wearable piece of sculpture/artwork. I have no idea how you find the courage to wear something that revealing to an event filled with teenage boys, creepy older peeps and low-brow news reporters. I salute your impressive cojones!
Mind you, your wear it with attitude :lol

Error... your costume is NOTHING short of spectacular!! You really did an amazing job and look as authentic as humanly possible!! Great job.. you have my vote, no doubt!!! Glad to see you got over feeling a little nervous for your convention. You SO pulled it off and you look amazing! GREAT WORK!!!

wow thank you everyone for the positive support ... but i do have to say ..wut is this gallery ? and i am to lazy to make proof pic ... so i told art last night that this is my nicci thread lol! AND YES this project was mostly layered and weaved hot glue i do not know why i choose to use the products i use ... i think to drive myself nuts!

Its a reputation meter that was added when the premium membership was started. There was a quick rush at the start to get as much as possible and then its not been used a lot.

Fantastic work! Looks exactly like a live action version of the comic "suit" They could have used your talents on that crappy Witchblade tv show.

DAMN THAT WITCHBLADE TV SHOW ***SHAKES FIST*** lol thank you guys .... it probably is not the best product to use for such a big project but it does give a very interesting organic look and paint grabs onto it perfectly

This entry is missing a proof pic and a final pic in the gallery. Please post the proof pic in this thread and the final one here before 10pm tomorrow:

2012-10 - Halloween Costume Contest - the RPF Gallery

Good luck! :)
i posted my gallery photo a few days ago ... or yesterday lol i have no been sleeping so i have no concept of time ! for proof pick i have to hold a piece of paper up saying i am error or something? i hope i do not need to wear my costume .... i kinda have no way of getting to where it is stored since the damn hurricane destroyed everything in jersey lol

Hmmm... I don't see it in the gallery. Could you try again?

You don't have to wear the costume for the proof pic, standing beside it with a sign saying "RPF costume contest 2012" will suffice. :) Due to the storm I'll let you be late with the proof pic. Just make sure it's posted in this thread before the contest voting closes.
