This is my Optimus Prime costume. It is eight feet tall and constructed out of cardboard, fiberglass and eva foam. It took me six months to build. The greatest challenge was figuring out how to make myself taller without using stilts. I used some metal cans to hold my weight and the weight of the costume. Hope to post up some progress pictures later on.
