Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

Ok. How do you get the foam into compound shapes like that? And how do you do the "engraving detail" (pattern on shoulder)?

I think you're raising the bar on foam building here (wow!) :):thumbsup

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

I don't mean the diamond plate - I mean the curving/cupping of the pieces like on the shoulders and lower ab parts.

Must be magic...

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

This makes me want to try a "Red Robin Begins" suit. I'm not even close to tall enough for Bats.

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

So today I made major headway in the areas of fixing the shoulders(thanks warlickjacoby),making some of the back detail and the gauntlets!

Please excuse the tape, its a solution until I attach the foam to an under suit:)
Thanks for looking guys!

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

Just krylon fusion paint from walmart:)

Do you do anything special with it? Do you have any issues with it cracking when the foam bends during wearing? I'm working on the foam parts of Mikey's build and that's my concern with his (although I'm working with much thinner 3mm foam - so it's more of an issue).

It's looking really, really good btw! :)
