I picked up a Falcon at Walmart last Thursday for $15! No lie! That was 75% off the $60 tag that was on the box! If you're looking for one of these or a spare or whatever, NOW is the time to pick one up.
After having read this, I went to the local Wal-Mart that had a few of these for a couple of weeks marked at $30 -- I had been keeping an eye on them anyway, watching for a further price drop. I took one of the remaining pair they had (still marked at $30) and scanned it -- it scanned at $15. Snatched it up. If nothing else, it could provide a replacement for the bottom gun.

Yup, just saw one at my Walmart for $15. Picked the box up, and it felt EMPTY. Amazing how light it is.

All of the Falcons at my local Walmart are gone. They had about 10 on the shelf... didn't last long... luckily I was able to snatch one of them before they were all taken!

On a side note, I have a video of my Master Replicas Falcon posted on Youtube. A guy left a comment yesterday that he picked up the Walmart version for $15 and "it's the same size and has all the detail, just needs a new paint job." I was thinking not even close out of the box. I guess you would have to be able to see the two next to each other to realize the difference. LOL

Shows you the difference between what a true collector and Star Wars fan is over someone who doesn't have a clue! I would have responded to it saying... "Yeah I got a Matchbox car of a Lamborgini too for $3.00, same thing right?"

Hahaha I like that, but I'm trying to be less confrontational these days. I think I'll use it though LOL

Adam savage dropped a hint on a recently posted tested.com lost episode recorded in October , he mentioned he was going to start his 32inch falcon project ( fibreglass pulls from another falcon) does anyone know where he might post it ?

I wonder if he's gonna be doing teh DeAgostini kit... if so I'll be watching his progress... now if only we could find out where to see it! :)

Hello all. New to this forum, just signed up today, so I hope I don't make too big of a fool of myself right away.

I just bought the Walmart Hasbro Hero Falcon and now the panic sets in. I didn't get the deal many on here did. I paid $40.00 online for it and now I need to find sources for the details. Cockpit, sides vents, etc, etc. I just started looking but so far all I've seen are lots of pieces from Legacy Falcons and a couple kits for this that are still pricy for my budget. Is anything useable from other Hasbro or Kenner Falcons, are there reasonable (to me) options that I should look into? I'm not worried about painting wiring scratch building or whatever. I can handle those aspects of model building. I just don't want to have to reinvent things that are already available.

Thanks for any help and apologies if I didn't follow the correct procedures.

I have just bought this Falcon an going to try my hand at making it look a little nicer.

Some great inspiration in this thread guys.

Also PM sent about your wall casts Kokari. :thumbsup

Finally dug this out of my closet and started working on it again. I added the Randy Cooper engine vents and tried out the brass covers for fun. They obviously need some gap filler. Should look really good when it's done! Also, started preparing the interior for lights.

Tested the engine lights and looked for light leaks. Time to start all the fibers for the cockpit. Working on the lighting is the one part of modeling I don't really care for, so I kind of drag my feet during this stage.

I have learned a lot from the RPF especially from the reference photos of the Five Foot Millennium Falcon model, I was tired of going through my stored files trying to find the one item I was scratch building so this week I created study reference sheets that show a particular feature of the falcon and I assembled multiple views of that, for example the mandible end details I am scratch building, I thought I would share these with everyone so they can dip in when they are scratch building areas.they can be accessed in my public profile folder here:Thanks to everyone who has shared images of the models, as its very hard for me to get access to the movie props. I will create sheets later on for painting features later on (When I finally finish scratching ), i will be adding to these as I focus on other areas.
