1/6 Scale X-wing Cockpit Only

Can anyone tell me what the rules are for posting copyrighted images (stills from Movies)? I would like to post the images I'm using but I don't want to get into trouble. Thanks.

Hi Iz,

LOVE the project so far! Can't wait to see her finished! I have few detail shots of the cockpit. Hope these help! These images belong to others (not sure who - but wanted to give what credit I could...)

Thanks SofaKing01 for the pics.

Did some work on the Data Module (glass piece). I redid it because the piece was too long and the two holes with the metal plugs weren't centered. I also did some work adding the metal piping on the back canopy vents. I took the rear canopy off so you can see it. Lastly I created the metal box on the left hand side.

I'm working the small the details on the cockpit until I can paint it when the weather gets better.

Made some Greeblies (I think that's what they are called) for the cockpit. Still have to paint them.

I found this pic on Star wars 77 -83 twitter account: Awesome behind the scene pic of the X-wing cockpit. I've never seen it before:

If anyone has pic's like these please let me know. It helps with the details I can't see in movie stills.

The pistons look great! Nailed it! If you noticed, the RotJ cockpit didn't have any tubes at all - the designers added tons of greeblies. Also, the early production image of Luke on Dagobah didn't have them either BUT were later added...

Might be an option to remove them? :)

Yes,

It changes form scene to scene. The full x-wing cockpit is missing some greebles and pipes that the front shot (post #28) doesn't have. Also the full X-wing has the Hydraulics for the canopy, but the scenes where you see Luke or anyone else in ANH (space scene) doesn't even have them. They don't make it easy for you do they. I guess I'll try and put together the best parts of each scene but try and keep the overall appearance of the full X-wing cockpit. Thanks again for the pics.:D

Great build. If you want to keep the hoses in, maybe you could use some aquarium hose (I think it comes in different diameters) and wrap copper wire around it to mimic the ribs. The copper wire might even hold the tube in the shape you need. I think auto or even stereo places might have different ribbed hose for placing around wiring? Some lego sets have corrigated tubes, but that might be a tad small for 1/6 scale?

Keep on building.

Awesome. Thanks:D

Maybe I'm just a ANH junkie, but I prefer the hoses in the cockpit. :)

Do a search for cable organizers. I'm pretty sure you'll find what you're looking for.

I'm with you. I like the hoses. Here is my attempt in making them with wire and cables: yes they still need to be painted light grey but i think it will do. I still will have to do the other side. What do you guys think???
