Jason, could you (finally someone) provide us with some good scans of this kit. I've been working from those same ebay shots and instructions for the longest time.

Re: Project sealab

Q, I will do that next week (talking a long weekend!) for sure!

Eric, thanks, added! Can you give part numbers?

As Beaz mentioned in another thread just now, we're gonna need specifics, and multiples, per design.

I too think it makes sense to group these into model-specific packs. So someone building a ______ can get a one-stop-shop purchase of all the parts they need.

But for now - let's ID, with part numbers and quantity!

For my SC, I still need some casting part of sealab.

Re: Project sealab

X-Wing parts and multiples, off the top of my head:

I highlighted the section of the main tube that you need for the inner engine intakes.

Now, this is for a general hero model. It differs a bit from hero to hero, so when I have some more time I'll check my references and kit part numbers and make a few adjustments.

Re: Project sealab

I acquired some one-piece molds for many of the parts some time ago, and don't really want to be in the casting biz, so I could offer them for some sort of future consideration. I'll dig 'em out and take some pics if you like.

Re: Project sealab

Hi Jason,

This would be such a useful thing to do, thanks! - got loads of parts identified for the 5' Falcon, but as already asked, a proper set of sprue images would made cross referecning the required bits so much easier.

Cheers
Nick

Yeah, if you take the section that I highlighted and cut it horizontally across the middle you end up with two inner engine intakes, so you need two copies of that section for a full complement of four.

Here are three castings I made of that section, which has the correct step on the leading edge:

Re: Project sealab

This is off the top of my head, but for the Galactica you need:
  • 53
  • 74 (?)

For the ANH Imperial Cruiser, don't forget:
  • 11

Thanks for doing this guys!

Re: Project sealab

You would ask that. . . LOL!

For the Imperial Cruiser, there are three of part #11 for each engine for a total of 9. For the Galactica, I think it's (4) of #53 and (1) of #74.

Re: Project sealab

This is great Jason. Exactly the kind of side projects I hope to see.
It will enable modelers to build & take pressure off expensive kits that most people just can't afford.
Add 4 x the long hoses for the Escape Pod.
Not sure of the number as am not home.
I'll be up for sets thats for sure.
