Nah.... we looked. It's the 1/32nd scale UH-1 Huey kit. I had the "Lights and Sound" version of the kit as a kid, but it's the same kit. I guess when you are smaller, the scale looks bigger.........

The cylinder which frames the "truck rim" reminds me of a scotch tape cylinder, but the three tabs in the pic aren't on modern cores.

Whoa! Cool! It's funny because I always collected those tape rings too, just as found plastic bits for scratching a la ILM. I should have checked my collection. AND you found a pilot! I thought that'd be nearly impossible. :)
 
Thanks Gene, yes you are correct.

Most of this has been IDed. Only a handfull of parts left. I still have to get a few missing kits though.
