Jackets have always been my favorite item of clothing and more often than not characters in movies/tv have some pretty awesome ones. So everybody post your favorite film jackets (with pictures).

My favorites are of course the Indy jacket (Raiders, the others just look funny to me.)

The overcoat worn by the Tenth Doctor.

And then this one I noticed the other day worn by McCoy in Search for Spock.

(That was the best shot I could find) Actually that movie had a lot of cool jacket designs.

I love Wolff's waistcoat in Spacehunter... Technically not a jacket, though worn like one and made from one.

The original series BSG jackets were always bloody cool, too. I once tried making one from a half-remembered image from when I was a kid - I thought they were made from suede!!

Gotta go with Rick Deckard's trench coat in Blade Runner.

And another vote for the original BSG Warrior jacket. :thumbsup

The rocketeer jacket

Either the 1st X-men movie or the Origins:Wolverine version of his jacket.

And I do like the original BSG jacket as well - got one at home!

Oh, if we're doing coats as well as jackets.....

Robert Carlisle's coat in Plunkett & MacClaine.

And about half the fancy outfits in period programmes, from Sharpe's 95th Regt officer's jacket and the greatcoat he sometimes has, to the Doublet styles worn in things like The Tudors.


Oh, and Aragorn's Outrider coat.
I even have my own version of an Outrider's coat, inspired by the Aragorn one.

Totally agree with the Nostromo jacket & Deckard trench.

Really love the jackets worn in Mad Max aswell.

And the dusters from Once Upon A Time In The West.

This is another one of the cool ones in ST3. I'm liking most of what I've seen so far. I've never watched BSG, but I've liked that jacket since I first saw a picture of it.

Wolverine X1 and XO, Arnold's jacket in T2, and while its not a "movie" jacket, I'm partial to House's motorcycle jacket. Add an Indy jacket and my film jacket collection would be complete.
