Great comment about using available parts Jay.

When I saw Lorne Peterson lecture about the ILM shop at Jerseyfest a couple months ago, he also mentioned something I've said about this build specifically. He said some of the guys on the RPF build the models BETTER than ILM did. It's certainly true here Lasse. You need your own museum!

On every level this is a totally beautiful build. Your weathering around the hatches and panels is just fantastic. You are right to enjoy life Lasse but damn we've missed work like this.
 
This is a phenomenal build! Only a very few studio-scale replicas of this ship have ever been attempted. Yours is the pioneering first. I can truly appreciate the huge amount of time, energy, and effort that went into this project. Fantastic! :D
 
Did this build burn you out? Or did work/family demand more of your time, that you felt like taking a break from this? Anything on the horizon? I'm not sure if you have heard, but we lost some great builders off of this site. We certainly wouldn't want to lose you as well. Personally, your work has been a great inspiration to me.

I do not know how I missed seeing this build but holy freakin' Bantha Poo Doo! This is one of the most awesome things I've seen... ever! The craftsmanship... the size... the detailing... the paint job... all first class. Thank you for sharing!
 
I would have a request from you. I am making scratchbuilding models, too. I want to make reference to this model you made in previous times. Can you share the production photos of this model with me.
