SW groups & Comic-Cons in Michigan, Illinois, & NY?

Howdy folks.

Would anybody here know of any Star Wars groups,
or comic book conventions in Michigan mainly, but
also in Illinois? I figure Detroit, Chicago, & NY must
have something, but I don't know where to look.

West Michigan is closest to me, and New York is as
far as I'd like to go, but that should cover a lot I hope.

I'd like to take items to sell there, and also look
to purchase, but this is a brand new area for me.

Any information would be appreciated.
