Custom Corgi Probe 16 (Clockwork Orange Durango 95)

Decided it was time to get one looking screen accurate.
You didn't see it long but it stayed in my mind all these years.

"The Durango-95 purred away real horrorshow - a nice, warm, vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts. Soon, it was trees and dark, my brothers, with real country dark. We fillied around for a while with other travellers of the night, playing hogs of the road. Then we headed west, what we were after now was the old surprise visit. That was a real kick and good for laughs and lashings of the old ultra-violence."

very nice!
Top Gear did a bit on that car years ago..it's been painted yellow since the movie and is in seriously rough shape but man seeing someone walk around it really give you an idea of how low that car is/was.

I saw that bit. I guess it didn't win the restoration contest. :cry

Surprised Corgi hasn't figured out that they could cash in on the Clockwork connection and start selling something again.

I would really like to see a 1:18 scale model of that car...hell toss in teh THX1138 cars into that mix as well :)

Yeah I'd have loved to seen TOP Gear restore the probe

I have that model, and was tinkering with the idea of painting it, thanks for the heads up and details.

Wow, this is really amazing and inspired to try something like this for the first time. Do you mind if I ask how you did the license plate graphic? Great job!

Just used a home printer on vinyl sticker sheets if I recall. Pretty simple, I'd have to dig around for the artwork but it's pretty simple just get a close enough font and add a black border. I might have sprayed some clear coat over it to protect.
Man I wish there was a 1/18 scale diecast of this. Surprised actually that it hasn't happened given the explosion of film related diecast cars the last few years.

Great!!Thanks very much for the info!

Looking good...not a lot of thread on Corgi or Dinky Toys. Btw, did Dinky Toys made a model also, or was it just Corgi?

I think just Corgi. At least that was the only brand that was decent enough to modify, if you cruise Ebay some cheaper brands come up I think.
I had read about a larger very rare Adams Probe but never saw any pictures.
