Can anybody help identify the actual jacket used for this piece? We've been having a hard time of it.

The description:
Lee Adama's dark olive green bomber jacket from the flashback scene of Kara and Zak's dinner party. Jacket features five military patches over the arms and left jacket pocket, including the Viper and Vigilantes patch. Also features a Colonial phoenix emblem ironed on the right jacket pocket.

I've just spent time searching. I would reason to bet it's not a Canadian or US flight jacket..... I could not find one that matched. I am near-positive it's military, based on the epalettes on the shoulders. No jackets I found have the button/slash pockets and top patch pockets.
Could, I suppose, be a commercial police/flight jacket. Still looking, as I want one, too cool!

Let me take the guess work out, its an H&M jacket from many years ago. Happy hunting.

Don't know but everything on the table. I've even sent a picture of the jacket to Kaufman’s Army & Navy in New York (one of the largest and oldest such establishments in the world). In addition to having one of the largest collections of military gear on the planet, they often lend out and sell military uniforms and such to Theater, film , and TV productions...so hopefully they can help. As for the H&M guess, that still might be an option. Mr. Kaufman first sent back an email saying that it looked to him like a fashion jacket rather than a military one and to check that our until I pointed out the loops (for shoulder boards) detail that MJF noted. At that point He said that it might be eastern block, and he'd keep researching. More to come...

Well, being that I've held it and read the label - I would say that's a good source.

It was also confirmed by propworx.

Alls I ask is that if you find one, please save one for me !

Posted this on ASAP, but I figured I may have some luck here too, and besides, no one ever answered with pics of the correct jacket . . .

So, Here it is, FINALLY. I scored one of the correct H&M jackets for the base after a lot of searching.

As you can see, I removed one of the epaulets so you can see it’s the correct jacket . . .bummer is its US 42 sized, and a bit too small for me, but it’ll make a kick ass display none the less. And I’m guessing its close to the originals size.

I'm hoping you all can help me out on the patch front. I'm not having much luck anywhere finding some GOOD replicas. And I’ve been scouring the net, and I am quickly tiring of the “show a pic of a kick ass looking patch”, pay $10 plus shipping, only to find its a “generic” one that doesn’t match the pic shown and is one I already have thats not right game.

Heres what I have and am (mostly) happy with for now:

I have a couple of versions of the US Army Drill Instructor patch "This we'll defend" for the left sleeve, and measuring it against the jacket for scale since the size of the "backing" varies some on the ones I have, the one I’m going with is 3 3/8 wide by 3 inches tall on the olive backing. The thread seems to be the closest on that one too since it much shinier that the others I have.

I'm looking for a spot on replica of the Vigilantes patch for the left breast pocket. I found a decent replica (Has the blue border around the red) of the Vigilantes patch, but its still not perfect. The size is MUCH better than the others out there, most are too damn big and this is the ONLY one that has the correct blue border. My biggest gripe on the patch I have is the background and the overall stitching was done on a machine that leaves “tails” between things that should not have them. Nothing I couldn’t clean up if needed, and I can totally live with it, but if there’s something else out there, I figured someone here will know.

The right breast colonial phoenix iron on is something I’m pretty confident I can get made up since the graphic is out there, I just need to scale it to the jacket. (And let me say, Dgasser and CMANavy, without your AWESOME pics, I’d be hurting on scaling this and the middle right shoulder patch. Thanks guys!!)
The Viper patch on the top right sleeve, I’ve found the hard and expensive way that most suck butt, and some aren't worth anything. Even as a coaster. I’ve heard that someone out there is working on a kick ass version . . . anyone want to pipe up? I'm in for 4-5 GOOD ones.

The weird 12 point Verginia Sun style patch that in the middle right sleeve I'm having printed on canvas, and then having it edged. I can’t think of any other way to do this one, as I’ve had zero luck searching for anything close to that in the “real world”. I do like the 12 point thing . . . 12 points for 12 colonies . . .
I have a couple of versions of the for the Air Force Communications Command Patch on the bottom right sleeve, and this one is the best match I’ve found so far.

Any help on any of this is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks
