Hellboy Prop: Broom's Box. Need info.

So I just received this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=370084739270
as a go-with to the box. Price was right.
I should 'fess up. I been scoring the hb stuff a bit lately. In addition to the box, the Nazi Gold and the ankh, I also scored this pouch:

I was looking for these, thinking they'd be easy to find, but they're not. Not with that kind of clasp. If anyone knows what they're called and where to find them, I'd like a couple more, as HB wears more than just 2 on his belt.

I'll scan the tarot card later tonight and post it.

There's a thread over in costuming about Abe's belt. I just posted some pictures of the original Hellboy belt over there. Looks like it had five of those pouches. The snaps on these are similar to the ones used on US military belt pouches in World War I, but the ones I've seen were a heavy cloth, not leather.

Ahhh! Twenty bucks!? @#!&%@! :lol

Nice collection you've got going.

Regarding the 'Making of' book: no pics of the box besides the sketch already posted.

Regarding my small glass jar: it appears to be identical to the ones shown in the link I posted. They have a rather sharp 'shoulder' where the sides end and the neck begins. If that doesn't bother you (and it may be partially concealed by the leather lid), they might work.

So, what piqued your interest in Hellboy?

One Way Socket, and One Way Lift Studs. That's the kind of clasp you have.

Made by Snapfast. Their phone number is... 1-888-624-2058

The stud is an LDBB16358
The Socket is an LDBB16205
There's a plastic washer insert for it as well, and that part number is LDPL16510

Hope that helps.

Oh my GOD I love this board. That info helps a lot. I think my sewing machine can handle leather...

As for the bottles, I managed to find and order the ones in the picture posted earlier in this thread. They look perfect. 3 are coming and I'll post pix when they arrive.

Why the Hellboy collecting? It wasn't planned, but I couldn't pass on some of the ebay offerings. Then I kind of went hog wild. Bought Ilsa's ossuary from the Sammael birth scene as well.

From one Big Red fan to another, I salute you on your acquisitions.

That's YOU!? You were at Comicon right? If you were, sorry about the flickr photos that think that you were me...

Man, that is one attention grabbing costume, I probably got more attention as HB that I would have as just little old me.

So YOU are the one that outbid me on that! :lol No worries, as your collection is far and away bigger than mine. I'm just getting started.

I'm begining to thing everyone bidding on it was a member here.

lol That's probably true! I've got several replica pieces, but nothing yet that was screen used. I'm just getting into it, really. I'm working on a few pieces of my own, all Harry Potter related. My wife and I are both huge HP nerds. I'm hoping that more of those props come available once they wrap the last two films up. WB seems to be pretty tight with their props, though. We'll see. :rolleyes

I heard tell that the Stargate production was auctioning off screen used stuff as well. Looks like the Revolution tide is pretty much done. Won't stop me from checking though.
It was funny how many emails and contacts I got from RPFers about winning a couple of these auctions.

Yeah, the Rider Tarot; that iconography of the death card is really common , just do a google image search on "death tarot" to see what I mean: the position of the scythe, the heads, the landscape etc. Each of these things and it's placement and it's meaning within a reading.
Here's one:

I've done a crapload of image searching and I believe that the HB tarot is hand drawn. Sorry for the delay, I'll post a scan soon.

I found a website with a similar tarot card to the one adam bought.

scroll down a bit

I swear I'll post a nice big fast scan of the front and back. One of the three I received is relatively unweathered (and the weathering is printed in). The cards are 2 prints, front and back, glued together, so it's an easy build.

That wasn't me at Comic Con, I couldn't make that trip this year, we were at Dragon Con in Atlanta.
I'd love to see pics of your HB costume.
