Looks great. Are you doing the headgear thingy?

If I were you I'd carry a regular deck of cards for instances when the tricked-up plexi doesn't work out. Personally I like the suggestion and think it could be really cool.

Maybe you could also look into EL technologies... a quick Google just found glowsheets that you can color print on with an inkjet:
