Millenium Falcon Cockpit anyone?

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this?

Anyone have any detailed pics or schematics or blue prints (or anything) of the millenium Falcon cock pit lay out?

For days I've tried searching loads of search engine google,jeeves, cnet, aol, and I can't find any detailed pics?

My laptop dvd is broken and I can't screen capture from the dvd's.

I read that in Boston there is a Millenium Falcon simulator at a mueseum, and it got me thinking about whether anyone has attempted to do a full size Cockpit replica? I've been considering tackling a half scale one for my nephew.

I've seen guys on the news that turn their houses into Star Trek Enterprise bridges. So it's a tall order but would be a great challenge.

I've often thought Lucas should open a theme park and create a full size Millenium falcon bar.

Wouldn't that be great...??? :D

Jeeze bankrupt. £130,000.

No way it should cost that much..but he probably paid someone to do it for him, instead of tackling it himself?

I know the falcon cockpit would include a ton of led lights, and also include a lot of scratch building objects. I know it's highly unlikely without blueprints that it will be very accurate but to get something fairly close would be excellent.

Man, had I known that was all it would have taken, I'd have Trek'd my apartment after the first week of marriage to the shrew. It took me 5 years. :lol
 
When Mr Alleyne failed to sell the original version of his Starship Enterprise home for £700,000, 18 months ago, he gutted it.

He is now refitting the flat as the spaceship from the later Star Trek series, Voyager, using income support payments.

I think you should do the cockpit 1:1 scale. Don't just let the kids have fun.
 
Guys thanks for the feedback.

I doubt I'll be spending anywhere near that much..but it's something I have been thinking about doing for a long time.
Doing it for the nephew is a way of justifying it to anyone but the 12 year old inside me who want's to sit there and shout to his pet Cat Chewie "punch it" :lol

I'd love to do this 1/1 scale, but don't think I have the room to do so. Unless I persuade the missus to let me change the living room into a Falcon cockpit.
Imagine explaining that to the inlaws? :$

WebChief...thanks very much for those pics..they may not be super accurate to the screen used one but if I could get this thing looking as detailed as that I'd be very happy. With more accurate chairs, the high backed ones behind the pilot/co-pilot that cockpit would look great.

The cokcpit with the grayed out windows is very claustrophobic, isn't it?

You'd think they could put in plexi, and have a lit starfield beyond it. That would be cool.

The Star Wars 365 book also has the blueprints for the cockpit. You can just make out some of the numbers.

That book is worth every penny.

Actually they're not grayed out. There's a movie screen on the other side of the windows. Its a virtual reality type movie ride... think Back to the Future at Universal Studios or Star Tours (without the actual cockpit moving). Its not quite as ride like as it doesn't move but looking out the windows while it makes all the engine noises and such you feel like you're flying. The movie outside the windows takes you from orbit around Earth through Hyperspace, around some planets and deep space, TIEs shoot at you and then X-Wings give you an escort home again. The whole thing's narrated by Anthony Daniels. Its for the SW Where Science Meets Imagination exhibit and is VERY well done.
