Endor wrist communicator greeblie

Hi guys

I am trying to track this greeblie down and thought this might be the best place to grab all you scratch builders attention.
Does anyone know what this part is from. It looks like an engine part of some description but I’m not a scale modeller. So I thought I would ask the pros.

I am pretty sure the squarish "domed" greeblie in the first picture is the lense of an 8mm camera...most likely one of those, which were cannibalized for the various macros.

There are tiny bubbles here and there, so I think it must have been cast in resin. Therefore, it is possible that the original could have been made from multiple parts.
I think the small cylinders on the base look like set screws.

BTW. I made a couple sculpts for casting in 2012-13. I have never seen it this detailed before. The best I've seen earlier was of one in Steve Sansweet's collection from last year when it was displayed it at a convention. That one had different scuff pattern and not the "notch" in the display screen at the top — which is probably a bubble. Thanks for sharing!

Do you think it might be a view finder?

The middle part with the ribbing is a model valve cover from an engine. Seems too small for the Visible V-8 though. Some of the other parts look like they could be transmission or oil pans from the same or similar kits. They are just upside down with smaller bits attached. The part over the top of the valve cover could be a piston rod.

If you can determine the size, it should give you a scale model size and then you only need to track down one of the 2.7 million options for car models with detailed engines!!! :lol

BTW. On my replicas, the full greeblie was just over two inches long and precisely one inch wide...

Is the silver square a tape head from a tape recorder ?
I thought so too, but I could not find an image of a tape head with a square on it. I think a tape head might be too large also. It is at most 8 mm wide.

I see a valve cover, and a dash cluster

Valve cover in red, dash/instrument cluster in green

Thanks guys
For some reason I’m not getting any notifications of replies.
I think I may have found the valve cover kit thanks to Lee Who’s no longer a member here. And the “glove box bit looks like the underside of the 20mm cannon that was mentioned earlier. Now if I can find the other kit bits I’ll be sorted.
Keep the suggestions coming guys. This is really helpful. [emoji1303]
