I have been at my wit's end trying to find the donor kit that this particular part has come from. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in identifying the source of this part.
The part in question is found on the "bow tie" structures on the hull of the Tie Fighter (see attached photo below).
I had believed that this part was an AA gun from an old-tooling of the Yamato battleship from either Tamiya or Nichimo at the appropriate scale, however the oldest tooling I could find from these manufacturers looked very different from what appears on the Tie.
