E-33 Carbine - quick, cheap build. Finished!

Putting together a quick/cheap EE-3 for a friend. Told him it won't be accurate, but we'll try get something that still looks the part.

Picked up these parts a few months ago for around $50...

I reckon there's enough there to make it work.

Mounted the larger pipe to the toy gun and cut up the grips to fit.

Using the 3D printed stock mount for this one.

The toy gun fits quite well but will need some filler later.

A few screws here and there and the gun is mounted rather securely to the barrel. Used some plastic to fill out the gun body.

So day 1 and here is where we are up to...

Next up - scope mounts...

Had an hour yesterday so finished attaching the scope mounts.

Wanted a little something-something when you looked down the barrel, so added some detail that will look good when painted...

Speaking of the barrel...

Again, not going for accuracy here, just the overall look.

Well, so much for quick! Lol. But managed to get some more time at it. My mate had an old bb gun for the stock...

Some modding required, but it'll work

Firmly attached...

Bring on the bondo...

Ready for primer...

Time to attach the greeblies...

Ready for base color - matt black...

Nearly finished, just some weathering and detailing.

And here she is all done...

Overall pretty happy with it. Not accurate of course, but she looks the part. I've since given it to my friend who is over the moon! And I'm stoked that he's stoked. :thumbsup

I love builds like this. It looks very Star Wars, and could easily be just another variant blaster. They made a crapload of kitbashed looking airsoft, and dummy guns for the new movies and something like this fits right in with that idea.

Looks cool but for some reason the connecting rod on the case sides just bothers me, probably because I build guns and engines

Came with the parts. Not sure who made it, I didn't look before it got covered in bondo! Lol. But yeah, it was a decent size. Not toy size at all.

Stick a handel coming out of where the wrist pin would go and it would look like an ancient wheel lock.

Pretty sure I had that toy revolver back when I was real little. Got it at a Cabela's when I lived in Pennsylvania, but I'm not sure if they still sell them. From my memory it used to have little red rubber pellets that you'd load in the side of the rotating... part (Idk what it's called, the chamber?) and then you shoot it.
