I just finished painting my Blade Runner water gun and wanted to post some photos. This is the first thing I've ever painted with any kind of complexity. I've masked a few small items in the past and painted plenty of things with a rattle can but never anything with multi colors or weathering. This is also the first time I've painted with an airbrush. Go easy on me. The finish came out a little more rough to the touch that I would have liked and I did the rub n buff before realizing I may not be able to clear over it. I may see what happens on a sample piece.
The gun no longer functions as a water pistol. I wanted to add some gravity to the finished piece and decided to go in through the barrel end to fill the main section. I weighed my personal pistol just for reference and it came in at just over 1000g. I assume a real version of one of these would be heavier than that. I was able to get this up to 750g with sand (photo shows initial filling weight before some packing). I may consider trying another medium to make it a little heavier but as it is, it feels pretty good in the hand.
