Finishing / sealing Aluminum Black and bare aluminum?

I'm working on a project that will have a metal piece that will be partially finished with aluminum black. I'm looking to maintain the level of shininess on the bare aluminum and the level of oxidation from the parts of the metal that have been hit with aluminum black.

If I want to seal the metal, can I just spray it with a standard clear coat?

For the bare...I would say yes..

or even have it clear powder coated for more durability..

I cant comment on how to keep/protect the 'blacked' parts.. (maybe do some search in the saber scene.. they use it a lot there as well... on how they protect it)

Part and paint pending, I'd leave it so it weathers naturally.
