Did the wolves just chase him up Conan's Tree of Woe?

Looks like a caveman story told by Guy Ritchie and Zack Snyder. Not doing a thing for me.

Confession: the film can be total garbage but a "boy and his dog" story can still hit me in feels every time.

My wife saw the trailer and says she'd go see it, but the dog probably dies in the end.
I can't watch those movies, I love my dogs too much, and still hurt over losing my boy two years ago.

The entire focus of the film is the relationship between the boy and the wolf. I thought it might cut between the boy and wolf, and then show tribal conflicts or something going on, you know, typical Hollywood cookie-cutter pacing and conflict. It doesn't. This is a boy and wolf story. It feels like a very independent film. The ending is awesome. Surprising but welcome.
