Fullscale X-Wing Plans (ANH,ESB, ROTJ)

I know for sure there was at least one complete build, and then two or possible three that were just noses sticking out of some bays. There're a few funny shots of Hamill climbing into one of these noses, and a backdrop of wings and engines has been painted behind him.

There are some odd details of the sunken one, especially on the wings. but I think the body and details are consisent with the rest. I'm almost certain the same blueprint was used to build the fullscale on ANH and ESB... but the single elevation drawing that's in Rinzler's blueprint book is not even close to the right shape. I seriously don't understand why it's so different...

I'll post some comparisons when I get a chance.
 
here's a thought...

there's one crane shot of the X-wing in Echo Base, right at the beginning of ESB. Anybody want to help me see if we can use stills from the footage for a real photogrammetric study? It doesn't have to be perfect, but I'm hoping that some basic proportions could be established and followed...

yup, that's the shot. Camera cranes right by it. I'm hoping that would be a great way to get the cockpit proportions nailed down, something like what Andre was able to accomplish with the 5ft Falcon... might not be enough images in the footage though... obviously complicated by the other moving elements but maybe possible?

hmm, never noticed that last nose beyond the Falcon...

looking at the plan drawing of echo base it looks like maybe there were two noses and two full builds
