Custom Captain America Shield Wall Mount

So I used to have an EFX shield, but wanted to go back to a metal one. I was sad to see the wall mount from EFX go, but c’est la vie. So I decided to make my own version for my soon to arrive replacement shield. I liked the basic design of the EFX amount, but wanted an easier way to get the shield in and out (you had to completely remove the mount from the wall and unscrew two bolts from the back). To fix that issue, I made the top latch a magnetic piece that can both slide up and down (for some flexibility of shield diameter) or pull off when I want to remove the shield.

Working on a V2. I decided to move the mounting hole further down so it was hidden behind the shield. Also might keep this one unpainted.

Great design. I like the change you made to the wall mounting hole, but I think the painted one looks better. If the tabs were a little bit shorter, the red tabs would blend right into the red ring of the shield and the mount would hardly be noticeable.

That was almost the reason I didn’t paint them red. It was too close but still noticeable, if that makes sense. I might still paint it— not 100% decided either way.

You might paint it a military color, like olive drab. Then it would look like military equipment.
