I'm in the second week of two weeks holiday, using the time to complete
some models for display at the Perth Western Australia Supanova 2018 event.
The first model completed was the Toybash truck 2 posted last week.
The second model I have just finished was started in January 2013 and prior to
this latest push was last worked on in 2014.
It has been sitting around unfinished since then while I was distracted with multiple
other projects, most of which are also in various stages of completion.
The entire build history can be found on my blogsite;
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5.

The main items needed to finalise the project were a cockpit interior and a paint job
plus some revision to the wiring for the lighting. These have now been done.

Below is a small sample of the photos from the build process leading up to the finished model.

The inspiration for the design was from a vehicle made in 1939 to explore the Antarctic called Snow Cruiser.

The chassis was made from Traxxas Summit running gear on an extended nitro REVO chassis.

The side entry doors were made from an old modem case that zapped itself in a thunder storm.

All that work was done some years ago and now here is the more recent efforts starting with the cabin interior and the
control console which is mainly to provide interior lighting on the figures.

At the start of the project I determined the scale to be 1/12 and happened to find a couple of Star Trek figures going cheap
in that scale, namely John Cho and Simon Pegg although the Simon Pegg likeness is pretty marginal.
I made some chairs for them to sit in.

And then the rest of the cockpit interior.

It's a big model at 900mm (35") long and 405mm (16") wide.
After 5 years its good to finally get around to finishing up this project.

Thanks for looking.

Another absolutely , bloody brilliantly executed and beautifully finished ‘ model ‘ mate ! .
I put model in quotes , because they’re ( been following your blog since late last year ) far from just .

Thanks for sharing and inspiring .
