Moisture Vaporator Margarita Machine

Happy Friday RPF!!!

I have wanted to build a Moisture Vaporator for years. I can't tell you why, it was just one of those iconic pieces that I have always wanted. The problem was, I couldn't justify something that large. What would I do with it? Where would it go?

Several years back that changed, a friend of mine were working together and he said, "dude you have to check out this red neck margarita machine." Which was basically just an igloo cooler and a garbage disposal. I can't tell you why, but it hit me. I could totally see the moisture vaporator, and it never left me.

Fast forward six years, and my wife said, "hey, for our memorial day BBQ you should geek out and build that Star Wars thingy that makes margaritas." God love her, that woman is the center of my universe.

So, thats what I did. And I documented via video the best I could. Its a bit of a long video, but i wanted to cover the whole build in one shot. The machine works perfectly! We had about twenty five people over to kick off the summer, and went through a TON of tequila. I was a little blurry by the end of the evening, but the machine performed admirably.

Anyway, I could not wait to share this ridiculous project with you guys. It sits on my patio and I just smile seeing it out there . . . it brings out my inner nerd.

My wife made glasses for everyone with their names in Aurebesh, it was a riot as the night went on. The more margaritas the more confused people go. But it was entertaining.

We also had to make my nephews some Smugglers Room Shirts

Hey Fuzzual ! I'm struggling with which is cooler, the Moisture Vaporator Margaria Maker... or that AMAZING build log video! Kudos on both!!!

Don't worry at all about that hand thing in the video, it's just your inner He-Man joining forces with your inner Luke Skywalker. In that instance your brain took over because of the hightened emotion you were feeling about how cool what you were doing was, and your hand forgot to tell it that you weren't holding your lightsaber, but your mouth really wanted to exclaim "I HAVE GEEK POWER!!" and your arm instinctivly went to raise your lit lightsaber over your head.

You're my hero. I've been wanting to build a full scale vaporator for awhile now, but smaller and practical might be the better way to go. Thanks, I didn't have enough projects cluttering up the house.
