Hi all, well after buying a 3d printer I've taken the plunge and started painting the prints.
I actually love painting the models[emoji3]
I also have bought a few plastic models to paint, more as a practice.
Here's a bought dl 44 I used to try my painting techniques on.
Be gentle I'm new[emoji53]

Yea used a lot of graphite powder for that off black metallic look, then a light mat varnish to seal it.
Then rub n buff on the edges of the blaster for the worn look.
Nice work. It looks great. I love the weathering.

Wow that is a fine collection. I will try graphite powder and buff. I have the same White/orange dl44 lying around. Never thought it could look so good.

Excellent work, look like movie props to me. I've never done work with guns (just ships and Bandai figures) but you have inspired me to give the Han Solo blaster a "shot".

First time for me, the lawgiver mk1 from judge dredd was the first gun I done. Its the top one, then robocop gun, finally the blaster.
