Well he obviously deserves that much for his bail. It’s just saddening that it’s a person in our hobby, our community that did this.

Hey now... Considered innocent before proven guilty in court of law and all that ...
He is most likely a member here with other members who are friends of his and he could still theoretically be freed of all charges. I wouldn't say anything that I would later regret. I'm not taking sides or excusing anything, I'm just saying...

He might have been at the centre of running the Sci-fi and Horror museums but they are each owned by groups involving a bunch of people, not just this guy.

Not long ago we had a member here selling a Captain America suit as well as some other costumes in the junk yard.
Someone then pointed out that he must need it to cover attorney fees for his case. Turns out he was arrested for attempting to meet a minor for sex.
The person who pointed it out also noted that he was heavily into costuming and doing children party events in character. Can you imagine? A sick pedo getting to mingle with children at a party and being trusted because he was dressed as a superhero? Needless to say he was reported to mods. Not sure if he got booted or if he is still around here as I forget his RPF name to check.

Whenever people say they costume just to be around kids, it always creeps me out and I think of stories like this.

BTW, I've lost the link to the article but it's been reported that the court has thrown out the two charges having to do with producing kiddie porn.

So now it's "only" possession, which of course is still horrible.

But the other charges were obviously the prosecutors trying to throw whatever they could think of at him and hoping something sticks. If the court threw it out then there was insufficient evidence. So the social media conviction of him on that score should be overturned, as it were.

But yeah, still bad ju ju.
