3D modelling Stormbreaker from Infinity War

Hi all,

I have been modelling Stormbreaker for about a week now and have been enjoying it and learning alot. I am using fusion 360 to do the top part and maybe use blender for the handle its far from done there are changes that are needed some things are not 100% but not noticable unless you zoom right into the model (hope to be able to fix in blender)

I will probably be selling the model for 3d printing when I am done with it and I am happy with it and will eventually be making Thor's Infinity War costume.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for reading.

Got the titan Thor toy to use the hammer as reference and never noticed there was a bit of a step in the hammer section (its on the titan toy anyways) so this is my updated stormbreaker so far not much but its something

Resized stormbreaker to be pretty much the correct size also made slight changes to the hammer end so its more a rectangle than square

Was worried about the details of Stormbreaker being too small when scaled to the correct size so i did a sectio test print of the hammer section at 80% of the full size (due to time constraints) and I think it look really good

Starting to work on the branches that wrap around the the weapon also lined up some vertices that I could not get into the right place with fusion 360.

So far I went from fusion 360 to make the majority of Stormbreaker now I am in blender to tidy up and add bits the next step is zbrush to add the wood grains.

Not much left to do just takes time been working on this for nearly 2 months (more so due to job and not having alot of free time) and its nearly at the end and ready to print :)

I say it looks fine as is. The wood grain seems much more accentuated now, making it look more realistic.

I’m surprised you don’t get more comments on this, you’re doing a great job painstakingly recreating all the detail of the original prop, and all without any clear HD images to base it on. Keep up the good work!
